Facebook scans posts and private chats!

Hey my Facebook is so private. I have all the settings locked down so no-one can see anything unless I allow them to.

Think again. You knew of course that Facebook is constantly scanning all your posts and yes PRIVATE IM chats 24/7 didn’t you?

Facebook’s extensive but little-discussed technology for scanning postings and chats for criminal activity automatically flagged the conversation for employees, who read it and quickly called police.

Facebook software spotted something suspicious.

A man in his early thirties was chatting about sex with a 13-year-old South Florida girl and planned to meet her after middle-school classes the next day.

Come on are you serious. How could anyone know this and still want to use Facebook? It is watching and scanning everything you say, analyzing to see if you have breached the guidelines. Let’s hope you don’t post something as a joke which gets flagged and has the cops looking at you, “So is this person a sexual predator or not?”

It happens. It happens alot. And what do they call this, a false positive! Sorry about that.

Yeah right!

Oh but look at the good they are doing catching these bad people and protecting our kids.

They will tell you about all the ones they do get, not about the 1000’s they miss. Don’t praise Facebook for doing a good job in detecting this stuff instead empower yourself and your family and really protect your privacy by quitting or not being on it in the first place.

Go on quit Facebook.

I don’t know whether it’s just me or if everybody else experiencing problems with your site. It looks like some of the text within your content are running off the screen. Can somebody else please provide feedback and let me know if this is happening to them too? This could be a problem with my internet browser because I’ve had this happen before. Appreciate it
